The Ontario Arts Council supports Toronto’s Dancing Classrooms

Join the Dance (Canada) is pleased to announce that we are the recent recipients of a $10,000 Grant from the Ontario Arts Council.  This grant is going directly to help fund our current Winter term project of Dancing Classrooms that is taking place in 21 schools and 46 classrooms of the Toronto Public & Catholic Elementary & Middle School system. Our Winter term commenced on January 12th and will run up until Friday, March 27th in schools.  The term’s culminating Colours of the Rainbow competitions dates and times will be announced on our website soon.

Join the Dance wishes to publicly thank and acknowledge the Ontario Arts Council for its generous support. The grant will be of great service in helping to promote and expand the proven & celebrated benefits of Dancing Classrooms to many more students and their schools, especially within our communities of greatest needs.  As well, the funding enables Join the Dance to provide increased opportunities to our growing pool of Resident Teaching Artists who are committed to delivering this innovative and character building Arts in Education program to positively impact the lives of all children and youth in the regular classroom.
