Join the Dance (Canada) is a registered Canadian Charity first established in February, 2006.

Our Mission: To deliver innovative character development programs through the medium of dance to children and youth.

Our Program: Dancing Classrooms™ created by Pierre Dulaine (of Mad Hot Ballroom & Take the Lead fame) in 1994 and now serving over 60,000 students annually across North America & Europe.

Our Approach: Through an integrated learning approach, key academic components of Literacy, Numeracy, History, Geography and Social Studies are interwoven into learning the art of traditional partner and contemporary group dances. This highly innovative and proven methodology created by Pierre Dulaine is internationally acclaimed for its proven ability to enhance academic and personal achievement.

Join the Dance (Canada) is able to provide the exceptional benefits and joy of Dancing Classroomsä program to our children in Canada, especially to those deemed most in need through the generosity of corporations and individuals like yourself who are committed to community and giving a hand up not a hand out for the betterment of our society as a whole.

Since 2007 to date, such invaluable contributions and donations, including on-going sponsorships by the Palais Royale Ballroom, Scotia Bank, the Central Rotary of Toronto, and the Ontario Arts Council have allowed us to provide the program to 12,000 children and youth in 336 classrooms across 90 schools of the Toronto District & Catholic Boards; and, the Peel Dufferin Catholic District Board.   Join the Dance thanks you for your community commitment and generous support that is enabling us to sustain and expand our educational and artistic programming. Our program directly addresses many of the current challenges we see in our school system, such as violence, bullying, gender-respect and inclusiveness, through positive reinforcement. The Toronto District & Catholic School Boards; and, participating schools of the Peel Dufferin Catholic Board fully endorse Dancing Classrooms™ as an outstanding Arts Infused Character Education & Academic Enrichment program.
